By combining hands-on learning with community-driven solutions, the organization fosters stewardship, resilience, and pride among residents.
Our Partnership Impact
• Expanding hands-on workforce training in carpentry, farming, and safety skills • Supporting local initiatives that build community resilience and sustainability • Providing students and adults with practical, marketable skills • Encouraging education that connects people to land and place
Partnership Story
In partnership with Executive Director Scotty Reis-Moniz, HPF supports workforce development programs like the Passport Training Certification Course and trades apprenticeships. These initiatives do more than prepare participants for employment—they nurture a deeper sense of belonging and purpose. Each graduate becomes both a skilled worker and a community contributor, ensuring that Waimānalo continues to thrive from within.
