The Hoʻomāhua Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Waiʻanae, Hawaiʻi. Its mission is to collaboratively create and foster meaningful, authentic teaching and learning experiences, aiming to inspire and nurture environments where teachers, students, and communities thrive. The foundation emphasizes community engagement and place-based learning, strengthening a sense of belonging and kuleana (responsibility) among participants. 
 

One of their notable programs is the Lei Kaiaulu initiative, which supports students on the Leeward Coast in addressing community issues through the design thinking process. This program encourages students to develop innovative solutions tailored to their community's needs.
