WHAT WE DO SECTION, COLLABORATION.jpg

The Hawaiʻi Pacific Foundation operates with a purpose-driven structure rooted in stewardship, strategy, and long-term commitment. Our model allows us to reinvest earned revenue into the communities we serve—supporting efforts that reflect cultural alignment, strengthen systems, and create lasting impact.

At HPF, we focus on building resilience from within—supporting initiatives that are grounded in cultural knowledge, shaped by community priorities, and designed to grow leadership across generations.

WHAT WE DO

Our investments focus on five interconnected areas:

Education: Scholarships, Hawaiian language and immersion schools, pathway programs, and teacher development

Workforce Development: Trade academies, vocational training, and technical certifications that prepare local talent for opportunity

Economic Stability: Small business support, Indigenous women’s entrepreneurship, and financial literacy

Community Development: Disaster recovery, health access, housing, and place-based cultural revitalization

Cultural Stewardship: Programs grounded in ʻike kūpuna, ʻāina-based learning, and values that connect past to future

Our giving strategy spans across time horizons—supporting upstream systems change, mid-term capacity building, and downstream responses to urgent needs. Through each of these efforts, we remain guided by pilina—the relationships that make transformation possible and ensure that our impact grows outward, not inward.
